Our purpose
Better technology.
Greater human possibility.
As our tools grow more powerful, our judgment, responsibility, and resilience need to grow with them. AvenRise brings that belief into the everyday realities of work.
Our mission
Expand access to opportunity.
Help people build on their strengths, navigate change, and contribute through meaningful work.
We are developing a local network of learning, employers, mentors, and practical support so that a person’s next chapter does not depend only on who they already know.
The future we hope to help build
A Southern California community where technological progress expands people’s ability to learn, work, create, and take part.
Our beginning
A question that came home.
AvenRise grew from Grace Yi’s experience in operations and management, her studies at the Drucker School, and her research on AI and organizational change. Practical questions about how work gets done became a more personal question about where people can contribute next.
Where can a person’s experience matter next?
A new graduate looking for a first chance. A professional with years of useful experience, unsure where it now fits. A local employer trying to solve a problem. AvenRise starts by listening carefully to each—and finding a useful connection between them.
Founder’s account, based on the project materials. The statement above is AvenRise’s framing, not a quotation from Peter Drucker.
Drucker, in practice
Good intentions need thoughtful management.
We draw on Drucker’s attention to purpose, people, contribution, and results. Our proposed application begins with four questions.
01
Purpose
Whose life should improve through our work?
02
People
What do participants and employers actually value?
03
Contribution
Where can someone’s strengths become useful?
04
Results
What changed in someone’s working life?
Our operating home
One program. A clear home.
AvenRise is being developed as a program of Empower Fund Inc. The proposed model separates organizational oversight from day-to-day program delivery.

Thinking with others
A learning community, not a finished answer.
We hope to work with management scholars and practitioners on pilot design, useful decision cases, and honest reviews of what happens. Any named adviser, interview guest, or institutional partnership will be announced only after agreement.
The wider questions of powerful technology—AI, biotechnology, and the study of consciousness—belong in thoughtful dialogue. Our first service commitment remains practical: people, work, and responsible participation in change.
A good next step begins with a conversation.
Bring your experience, your questions, or a challenge worth working on.
